What is Hunger STRIKE?

Hunger STRIKE is an annual bowling tournament benefiting Hays County Food Bank. It is a fun-filled evening meant to increase awareness about food insecurity among businesses while raising money to support the 1 in 7 in Hays County who are food insecure.

When will this event be held?

Hunger STRIKE will take place at Sunset Bowling Lanes in San Marcos, TX on Friday, May 18, 2018.

Can I bid in the silent auction if I don't attend the event?  

The silent auction is not open as of yet. If you would like to donate to our silent auction, please email Eleanor Owen-Oshan or call her at (512) 392-8300 x230.

What is Hays County Food Bank’s financial information?

Hays County Food Bank is incorporated as a non-profit corporation under the laws of the State of Texas for the stated charitable purpose of feeding hungry people in Hays County, Texas. The organization is classified as exempt from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Donations to the food bank are tax deductible as defined by law. Our EIN number is 74-2331781. The monetary donations we receive during our Turkeys Tackling Hunger campaign cover the costs of holiday boxes, as well as support the ongoing operating expenses of the food bank.
